The BERT Program educates people about disaster preparedness for hazards that may impact their area and trains them in basic disaster response skills, such as fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, and disaster medical operations. We designed and developed a site that was easy to use and navigate for the community. The department is able to get information to its members quickly and allows them to facilicate online member training classes through a 5 week video course.
